Pauline Yeung is a multilingual global leader fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, and conversant in French. With over 15 years of experience at the intersection of finance, innovation, and international relations, she has led forward-looking initiatives in business and government across Asia, Europe, and the United States. A graduate of Princeton and Central Saint Martins, Pauline is the Founder of KnitKnot Global, a consulting firm that bridges strategy, policy, and creativity to deliver impactful solutions for universities, central banks, financial institutions, prominent families, and start-ups and tech companies.
As a finance official in Hong Kong, Pauline spearheaded a landmark listing regime for biotech companies and new economy firms with weighted voting rights structures. She also developed fintech and family office strategies that mobilized private wealth for venture and impact investments worldwide. More recently, she has collaborated with central banks and financial institutions on digital currency and open finance projects. Her partnerships with tech pioneers like Preface (edtech), Fano (regtech), and Aligo (entertainment tech) also reflect her commitment to advancing AI and emerging technologies to drive innovation and social impact.
A prolific writer and biographer, Pauline has interviewed and researched family businesses as well as multinationals around the world, covering leading companies like Lenovo (China), Lotte (Korea), Maxim's (Hong Kong), Pasona (Japan), and Temasek (Singapore). Her articles and case studies have been featured in publications at HKU, HKUST, SCMP, HKET, FTChinese.com, and Horasis, among others, showcasing her insights into finance, family business, and future-proof strategies.
Pauline is also actively engaged in international dialogue and soft power initiatives, serving as Board Member of KEY (Korea, Europe & You), Fellow at Salzburg Global, Leadership Fellow at Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, Asia 21 Next Generation Fellow at Asia Society, Delegate to Australia-China Youth Dialogue, and Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Establishment of Korean Club of Hong Kong.
Finally, Pauline is an art lover and cultural enthusiast, drawing inspiration from Chinese calligraphy, Korean Dansaekhwa, and her encounters with artists like JR, Shepard Fairey, and Takashi Murakami. Her passion for the arts has led her to conduct field research on creative hubs such as West Kowloon (Hong Kong), West Bund (Shanghai), Yichang Piano City (Hubei), Dongdaemun Design Plaza (Seoul), and Roppongi Art Triangle (Tokyo). These experiences enrich her ability to integrate strategic thinking with culture and creativity, bringing a uniquely human perspective to her work.
I aspire to continue bringing people from different walks of life together for connection and community, not unlike embroidery, and to use words to weave together tapestries that tell compelling stories. In recent years, I have worked with central banks, financial institutions, business schools, and prominent families, bridging diverse cultures, building resilient networks, advising innovative initiatives, engaging in Track II diplomacy, and serving as a thought leader in global soft power.
