Pauline Yeung 楊寶蓮 ポーリーン∙ヤン 양보련

Since 2017, Pauline has made signature contributions to the Asian ecosystem for finance and innovation, notably during her tenure at the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau in the Hong Kong SAR Government, when she held responsibility for policies on fintech and facilitated the launch of a new listing regime for pre-revenue biotech companies and new economy firms with weighted voting rights structures. More recently, she has harnessed her passion for writing through editorial projects for central banks and financial institutions on topics in financial policy and financial technology.

A prolific writer, Pauline has also published business case studies on Chinese multinational Lenovo and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund Temasek and leveraged her language skills to conduct research on tech unicorns such as Japan-based SmartHR and Korea-based Yanolja in addition to Hong Kong-based start-ups like Preface and GreenPrice. Her professionalism, resourcefulness, and leadership beyond her role as an author are reflected in the exciting projects that have resulted from meeting the CEOs of the companies in her case study portfolio; a good example is the Preface Technopreneur Programme, for which she serves as Chief Curator.
