Since 2017, Pauline has made signature contributions to the evolving ecosystem for finance and innovation, notably during her tenure at the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau in the Hong Kong SAR Government, when she held responsibility for policies on fintech and facilitated the launch of a new listing regime for pre-revenue biotech companies and new economy firms with weighted voting rights structures.
A prolific writer, Pauline has published business case studies on Chinese multinational Lenovo and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund Temasek and leveraged her language skills to conduct research on tech unicorns such as Japan-based SmartHR and Korea-based Yanolja in addition to Hong Kong-based start-ups like GreenPrice. Her cases have been featured in the local and final rounds of the HSBC HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition, the largest and most culturally diverse undergraduate case competition of its kind globally.
More recently, she has taken part in consulting and editorial projects for central banks and financial institutions, advising on topics in financial policy and financial technology. Her professionalism, resourcefulness, and leadership have also allowed her to play a pivotal role as the Chief Curator of the Preface Technopreneur Programme in Seoul.
Selected work: finance, innovation, and business consulting, strategic introductions and stakeholder engagement, public and international affairs advisory, travel-and-learn journeys, startup and technology case studies, central bank and institutional editorial projects
