Having worked on numerous projects with prominent families and curated the inaugural Family Office Symposium during the Asian Financial Forum, Pauline has developed a high level of familiarity of the family business and family office landscape in Asia and internationally, with an emphasis on leveraging private wealth for venture and impact investments on a global scale. After government service, she also published a series of business case studies on Asian families in her capacity as Program Director at the Asia Business Council.
Today, Pauline advises families on business strategy, family legacy, and public and international affairs, while also capturing the essence of the family spirit through biographies and cutting-edge research. She has a special interest in century-old family businesses in Japan, having graduated from a rigorous course on the topic offered by the Japan Society of Hong Kong. She led a study tour to Tokyo in 2025 on Japanese "shinise", or long-lived enterprises, and will be leading a field trip to Seoul in 2027 that explores the role of chaebols and other types of family businesses in South Korea's globalization and economic development.
